Richie Meade to Lead Coaching Lineup at 10VE Youth Clinic for a Second Year

The Kip Taviano 10VE Field Celebration Committee is pleased to announce the coaching lineup for the 10VE Youth Clinic to be held 5/30/2015 from 8:30 to 10am during the Celebration Event.

The clinic will be directed by a group of well-known lacrosse figures led by current Team USA and Furman University Head Coach, Richie Meade, whose career highlights include:

  • A 35-year veteran of collegiate coaching, Coach Meade most recently finished his second season as Head Lacrosse Coach at Furman University -- where Kip was slated to play college lacrosse.
  • Prior to that, he spent 18 years at the U.S. Naval Academy. During Meade’s head coaching tenure at Navy, his teams claimed five Patriot League regular season and tournament titles, appeared in seven NCAA tournaments, and racked up 39 All-America citations. In 2004, Navy advanced to the national championship game and Meade was honored with the Morris Touchstone Memorial Award as National Coach of the Year. He also was twice named Patriot League Coach of the Year (2004 & 2007).

Other clinic instructors will include:

  • Brian Dougherty, Head Lacrosse Coach – Chestnut Hill College
  • John Nostrant, Head Lacrosse Coach – Haverford School
  • Frank Urso, Head Lacrosse Coach – Garnet Valley High School
  • Kip’s teammates from Furman University Men’s Lacrosse team
  • Kip’s friends and teammates from the Haverford School and Brandywine Youth Club currently playing collegiate lacrosse
